Summer Fling

end of the third round

as i put the phone down

tired of chasing

sick of this race game

end of innocence

you took with just one kiss

tired of losing

my heart is bruising

end of your letters

to make me feel better

down with the old games

in with the new names

end of my first love

you just had enough

chasing the the wrong signs

playing with my mind

end of the love songs

words just don't belong

here is a sure thing

you were a worthless summer fling
